After serving in the US Army In South Korea as a PATRIOT missile crewman, I remained in Korea for several years as an English instructor where I prepared materials and tutored non-native English-speaking adult students, in grammar, conversation, and business English. A working knowledge of Korean was necessary and I also edited the institute's English-language publications.
While in Korea, I also wrote several articles and entertainment reviews for the expat readership. I have extensive knowledge in Asian pop culture and music. I studied Korean traditional percussion instruments and have performed at National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts in Seoul. Before serving in the Army, I worked as a musician, performing live and doing studio work with numerous bands and artists.
I have a bachelor's degeee in communications from the University of Phoenix and I am currently working as a freelance writer/blogger for such sites as RateItAll and ECopywriters.
